Devotion to one’s roots is a highly valued musical trait. Particularly in the genres Jordan Joyes has spent the last decade trekking the globe performing: punk rock and country music.

Despite their surface differences, both genres foster a fanbase that suffers no fools and offers no quarter to those it deems unworthy of their dedication. ??

Building on her past musical endeavors by adding from a wild array of musical influences, Joyes walks the line between the many genres and offers no apologies.

Her solo work is a texturally diverse, sonically bold palette that is truly unique. With just the turn of a phrase, she can invoke imagery that is vulnerable while retaining a strength and power that would take most a lifetime to procure. ??

As the driving force of Appalachian Punk Bluegrass group Gallows Bound, Joyes has proffered her brand of song styling and powerful vocals to the world, for such disparate kin as, Swingin’ Utters The Supersuckers Scott H. Biram, Guttermouth, Sham 69 and the Koffin Kats, to name a few.

Hailing from Patsy Cline’s hometown in the Shenandoah Valley, Joyes comes by her pedigree honestly, It’s no surprise she’s enlisted Bouncing Souls’ Pete Steinkopf to produce her forthcoming solo album, featuring a star-studded cast of artists that run the gamut of musical genres but share one common thread: devotion to powerful, heartfelt music.
