Ben Jameson
The Chill Out Zone
Introducing Ben, also known as DJ Lazy B, the host of the Chill-out Show airing from Sunday to Thursday nights, 10 pm to 12 am. Tune in to Ben for a selection of relaxing music that will set the perfect vibe for unwinding after a long day. Ben's journey into the world of work began at his local butcher's shop, where he took pride in his uniform and responsibilities, even if they mostly involved cleaning. Despite the humble beginnings, Ben felt a sense of coolness and accomplishment in his role. However, his career took an exciting turn when he ventured into television and radio production. Over the years, Ben has worked on various productions, including popular shows like "Brum," "Dalziel & Pascoe," "Hotel Babylon," "Casualty," "EastEnders," "Dr. Who," and "Torchwood." Amidst the glitz and glamour of the entertainment industry, Ben found himself in amusing situations, including being playfully chatted up by John Barrowman, leaving him blushing uncontrollably. Outside of work, Ben finds happiness in running his small automated radio station, which plays love songs and chill-out tunes close to his heart. This project has not only kept him busy but also served as a source of solace during lockdown. When he's not working, Ben enjoys spending time with friends, indulging in fine food, and dreaming of the holidays he's missed during the pandemic. Ben's taste in music reflects his laid-back personality, with Christopher Cross's "Sailing" holding a special place in his heart for its calming vibes. His favourite album, "MCMXC a.D." by Enigma, served as an escape during difficult times in his youth, providing solace through its soothing melodies. While Ben appreciates a wide range of music, there's one song he can do without – the infamous "Peanut Butter Jelly Song," which induces major cringe every time he hears it. Despite this, he holds deep admiration for artists like Barry White and Luther Vandross, whose music has become integral to his life and radio shows. When it comes to Happy Hour, Ben has a hearty appetite, opting for a Rib Eye Steak and Eton Mess dessert – with the expectation that someone else is picking up the tab, of course! As for something few know about him, Ben keeps his exact age under wraps, jokingly claiming immortality. With his witty humour and passion for music, Ben invites listeners to stay updated on his latest ventures through his new blog, Lazyblog.co.uk. So, tune in to DJ Lazy B's Chill-out Show for an evening of relaxation and good vibes, and don't forget to check out his blog for more insights into his world.
